Paserene’s wine tasting room in Franschhoek is truly something special. Inspired by, and in theme with the migratory swallow, it represents the continuity of the brand.
The tasting lounge (often referred to as the nest ) “compliments the current landscape whilst being in harmony with the natural surroundings”
It is ideal for small year end functions, corporate events, and has a fully equipped bar with electricity. Enjoy majestic views overlooking the dam and the vineyards with a beautiful tranquil setting.

The result is a contemporary, but classically under stated building resembling a martin’s nest: light wooden cladding is used to create a modern-style ‘crypto-porticus’ offset against rough slate accents, resembling the mud and clay swallows use to build their nests.
Glass stack doors allow for the whole building to become an open structure, transforming the beautiful exterior in to a natural extension of the interior. The facilities overlook a small dam on our wine estate, a clever nod towards the swallow’s habit of swooping over water.

Friday the 7th of November saw the return of musician Matthew Mole for an intimate concert at the Nest, Paserene’s wine-tasting lounge.
Paserene’s founder and winemaker, Martin Smith, has a long heritage of being in the wine industry and bringing Paserene to fruition.
Come experience spring in one of the most beautiful valleys in the world with a glass of our delicious cocktail and taste some of Paserene's luxurious wines at the Nest overlooking the landscaped gardens this September.
Cabernet Sauvignon is considered one of the noble wine varietals and is often called the king of the wines, with such high recognition, this iconic cultivar deserves a day of celebration.
In July this year Martin Smith, Paserene’s winemaker, travelled to Jeffreys Bay to present a selection of Paserene wines in a decadent food and wine pairing at De Viswijf Restaurant in the Eastern Cape.
