Sauvignon Blanc is a white-wine grape that is known for having straightforward, clear flavours. The vines do well in cooler climates and are the most-planted white wine grape variety in the Cape South Coast.

The flavours are bright and crisp, with a distinctive grassy taste on the berries. It can be either blended with other whites or used on its own for a refreshing white wine.

Paserene uses Sauvignon Blanc in the Emerald from the Elements Range and in The Shiner, where it is also blended with Semillon Gris grapes.
